Frequently Asked Questions
How many images do you typically deliver?
Typically for individual portrait sessions, couples sessions, & family sessions, we deliver between 50-100 images + black & white duplicates of all the originals. For weddings, usually between 600-800 original photos (we make black & whites of the majority of these as well). Each session/wedding is different, but there's one thing we're always certain to do: tell your story. The most important part of our job is to capture the story of your life and deliver a thorough, versatile, and beautifully real illustration of those moments.
How long do photo sessions last?
Individual & family sessions are normally around an hour long. Couples sessions can last up to two hours, depending on location changes. All of our wedding packages are designed around an 8-hour time frame in order to capture all the parts of the day's "story," but alternate packages are also an option. Flexibility is our middle name, so if you don't see a package that fits your specific needs, don't worry! We're happy to make adjustments to fit your vision.
When will I receive my photos?
For most sessions, photos will be delivered within 3-4 weeks. Weddings take longer to edit, and total turnaround time can take up to 8 weeks. We're always happy to keep you posted throughout the process and we post sneak-peeks on our Facebook page within a couple days of your session, so be sure to check!
How will my photos be delivered?
Images from all sessions are delivered via an online gallery. The gallery will remain active for up to a year and allows mobile access to your photos. Original, full resolution images can be downloaded directly from your gallery to a computer or storage device. Wedding photos are delivered via the online gallery as well, but we also include a custom USB with each wedding package as a keepsake.
What should I/we wear for our session?
For most sessions we encourage an outfit change, which means you have to decide what to wear twice! But don't worry, here's some advice: keep clothing simple. It's best to avoid busy patterns and big logos. For group photos, wear colors that compliment each other. The bottom line here is to wear clothes that you're comfortable in and that represent YOU.
What about prints?
You'll receive a print release with the photos from your session, which gives you permission to make prints of your photos as you wish. A couple websites we recommend for printing are www.mpix.com and www.nationsphotolab.com. We encourage our clients to avoid using printers at shopping centers simply because the quality stinks. That's right, folks. It just plain stinks. 9 times out of 10 the printers aren't calibrated correctly, which leads to issues with sharpness, color imbalance, and prints that are overall just terribly misrepresentative.
How do I book a session?
Use the contact form on our website, message us on Facebook, comment on Instagram, send smoke signals from a nearby hill, etc. However you decide to do it, we can guarantee one thing: we'll be ready and overjoyed to go on a photography adventure with you. What are you waiting for? Drop us a line. You know you want to.
